The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued emergency use licenses to six brands of the anti-Covid-19 drug molnupiravir.
FDA officer in charge Oscar Gutierrez said the following had each been granted emergency use authorization (EUA):
- Molnarz (Faberco)
- Molnaflu (Medethix)
- Auxilto (German Quality Pharma)
- Molxvir (Sun Pharma)
- Molnatris (Mykan)
- Molnupiravir Generic (Lloyd Laboratories/Dr. Zen’s Research)
“Malinaw po sa findings ng FDA may capacity po siya mag-produce ng Molnupiravir capsules under current good manufacturing practice. At ang Molnupiravir naman ay meets the safety, efficacy, and quality standard as an investigatory Covid-19 drug,” Gutierrez said during President Rodrigo Duterte’s “Talk to the People” address aired on Monday night.
Gutierrez also disclosed that Pfizer had applied for an EUA for its anti-viral therapy pill, Paxlovid.
