Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo said it was untrue that her daughter Tricia skipped mandatory quarantine and called out peddlers of “fake news.”

In a Facebook post, the vice president said that Tricia and her two other daughters had undergone isolation in quarantine hotels for five days.

“Nung nag-positive si Tricia, nilipat siya sa isolation facility. Na-release lang siya after she already tested negative for three straight days,” Robredo said.

“Even after leaving the isolation facility, she was still required to continue quarantining. Kahapon lang natapos quarantine nya. Wala siyang nahawa kahit isa because she followed all the required protocols,” she added.

In her post, Robredo attached screenshots of posts made by ex-broadcaster Jay Sonza and a certain Peter Flores Serrano that accused the vice president’s daughter of skipping quarantine.

“Sinasadya nalang talaga mag sinungaling dahil may mga napapaniwala. This is already criminal and malicious,” Robredo said.

Robredo herself had undergone isolation after being in contact with Covid-19-positive persons.

She announced that she was negative for Covid-19 on Jan. 4. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
