Hindi totoo na naglabas si Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia ng Executive Order na nagbabawal sa malaking pagtitipon ng mga tao sa Cebu hanggang Hunyo 2022 para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng coronavirus.
Ang “anunsyo” ay nagmula sa satire page na “Cebu Dairy News” noong Abril 21, na tila sinadya upang patawanin ang mga tagasunod nito.
Sa satirical na “JUST IN” “news” item, iniulat ng humor page ang matinding reaction umano ni Garcia matapos ang rally ni Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo sa Mandaue, na dinaluhan ng 250,000 katao. Inendorso ni Garcia ang karibal ni Robredo na si dating senador Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Ngunit ang satire post ay nagdulot ng galit kay Garcia, na nag-post kinabukasan ng screenshot nito na may mga salitang “FAKE NEWS” na nakapatong.
Ginagaya ng “Cebu Dairy News” ang lumang page ng Cebu Daily News, na binago na ang pangalan sa “CDN Digital” pagkatapos na ihinto ang print edition noong huling bahagi ng 2018.
