CLAIM: 28 Filipino athletes will represent the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics

On the 3rd State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., he expressed his support for 28 Filipino athletes going to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“As we speak, 28 of our finest athletes are competing in Paris for the glory of the Philippines. Let us wish them well and the best of luck,” Marcos Jr. said in his speech.
However, on the official website of the Paris Olympics, only 22 Filipino athletes were listed as members of Team Philippines as of July 20, 2024.
