An AI-generated video of Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa in a red robe dancing in the plenary hall of the Senate has been circulating on Facebook, garnering thousands of “haha” reactions.
In the fake video, the senator disrobed, revealing his belly.
The fake video was uploaded by Facebook page “Juan Luna Blog.” It was captioned “Senador, Hukom, Payaso,” falsely claiming that Dela Rosa was so loyal to the Dutertes that he was willing to make a fool of himself in the Senate.
PressOne.PH ran the edited video through the AI detection website Deepware, which flagged it as suspicious, AI-generated content. Deepware’s algorithm registered a suspicion level of 73%.
The original photo was taken from the senator’s official Facebook account on June 10, with the caption, “Akala siguro ng ICC sila lang pwede maging Judge.”
As of writing, the edited video has drawn 5,800 reactions, 1,100 comments, and 1,700 shares. Abigail Prieto
