FACT-CHECK: Pekeng larawan nina ex-Bamban Mayor Alice Guo at puganteng pastor Apollo Quiboloy, kumakalat

CLAIM: Alice Guo at Apollo Quiboloy magkasama sa isang larawan na nakasuot ng space suit.

Kumakalat sa Facebook at X (dating Twitter) ang manipuladong picture ng na-dismiss na alkalde ng Bamban na si Alice Guo at ng puganteng pastor na si Apollo Quiboloy, na naka space suit. 

Lumabas ang mga larawang ito kasabay ng kasagsagan ng paghahanap kay Guo at Quiboloy, na kapwa may kinakaharap na kaso sa bansa.

Tinukoy ni Meta ang mga larawan bilang “AI info,” na nangangahulugang ang mga ito ay  likhang AI o artificial intelligence.

 

 

Sa kasalukuyan, muli nang nasa kustodiya ng pamahalaan si Guo, na lumabas ng Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng pagpapalipat-lipat ng sinasakyang barko, matapos nitong maaresto ng mga awtoridad sa Indonesia.

Kinumpirma ng mga senador na sina Risa Hontiveros at Win Gatchalian ang ukol sa pagkakaaresto kay Guo sa pamamagitan ng isang Facebook post.

Noong Agosto 24, nagpadala naman ang Philippine National Police ng 2,000 na tauhan para hainan ng warrant of arrest si Quiboloy at ang iba pang mga kapwa nito akusado sa Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound sa Davao City. 

Inanunsyo naman ni Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos sa Facebook post noong Setyembre 8 na nasa kustodiya na si Quiboloy. Leigh San Diego (Translated by: Mery-anne Alejandre)
