Fact-Check: Pekeng larawan ng mag-asawang Marcos na nakadamit preso, kumalat online

CLAIM: Nakunan ng larawan sina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos na nakadamit pampreso..

Isang AI-manipulated na larawan nina Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos na naka-damit preso ang kumalat online noong Feb. 25.

Red Flag: Ang nasabing larawan ay galing mula sa Facebook user na si “Maricar Serrano,” at agad itong nakuha ng atensyon at engagement mula sa mga netizen.

  • May caption ang post na “Mindset ba.. Mindset.. (sic)”
  • Ang orihinal na larawan ay mula sa screenshot ng isang RTVM livestream na unang ibinahagi sa X account ng Philippine Daily Inquirer noong Feb. 24.
  • Sa orihinal na post, makikitang dumalo ang mag-asawang Marcos sa isang event taliwas sa pinakikita ng manipuladong larawan. 
  • Nakasuot ang mag-asawa ng asul na Philippine team na damit habang nasa turnover ceremony ng ilang memorabilia mula sa boxing legend na si Manny Pacquiao sa National Sports Museum sa Pasig City.

Mga Resibo: Gamit ang reverse image search tool ng Google, lumabas sa imbestigasyon ng PressOne.PH ang orihinal na larawan.  Nang ipasuri naman ang kumalat na larawan sa iba’t ibang AI detection tools, lumabas na malaki ang posibilidad na ito ay minanipula.

  • Ayon sa resulta mula sa undetectable.ai at zerogpt.com, may 97% na indikasyon na ang larawan ay gawa o binago gamit ang AI.
  • Sa kasalukuyan, wala naman report na sina Marcos Jr. at Araneta-Marcos ay ipinakukulong o may utos para sila ay arestuhin.

Rewind: Noong Nov. 14, 2025, inakusahan ng dating party-list representative na si Zaldy Co ang pangulo bilang umano’y nag-utos sa maanomalyang ₱100 bilyong insertion sa national budget.

  • Dahil dito, nanawagan ang ilang political groups na isama ang pangulo sa listahan ng mga dapat imbestigahan at arestuhin dahil sa alegasyon ng korapsyon.
  • Batay sa isang survey noong huling bahagi ng Nov. 2025, bumaba sa 21% ang satisfaction rating ng pangulo.

Bakit ito may fact-check: Sa ngayon, umabot na sa mahigit 8,500 reactions at 336 shares ang post sa Facebook.

  • May higit 41,000 followers ang account na “Maricar Serrano,” na nagpapakita na may sapat itong impluwensya online.

Bantay-fake: Patuloy na ginagamit ang AI-generated o manipulated na mga larawan bilang paraan para magkalat ng maling impormasyon sa internet.

  • Mahalagang maging mapanuri at i-verify ang mga ganitong content gamit ang mga libreng tools online. Tandaan: hindi garantiya ng katotohanan ang dami ng followers ng isang account. Alfonso Aguilar
