Nag-post ang isang TikTok user ng isang minanipulang video kung saan pinapakita ang napakaraming tao na umano’y mga Pilipino daw na nagpapahayag ng pagsuporta kay dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Naka-lagay din sa pineke na video ang mga katagang “s[o]brang mahal ng mga taong bayan [ang] mga [D]uterte mula noon hanggang ngayon.”
Ang video ay nilapatan din ng tunog ng mga taong sumisigaw ng pangalan ni Duterte, kasama ng isang indibidwal na nagpapakita ng kanyang pagka mangha.
Ngunit sa katunayan, ang orihinal na video ay mula sa isang Facebook reel na ibinihagi ng isang Timorese noong Sept. 7 sa kasagsagan ng pag bisita ni Pope Francis sa Timor-Leste.
May hiwalay na angulo ng pagtitipon ang ibinalita naman ng “Dili post”, isang news organization sa Timor Leste, patunay na ang video ay kuha sa ibang bansa.
Ang minanipulang video ay nakakuha ng 317, 900 views, 15, 900 reactions, 3,406 comments at 908 shares sa TikTok sa oras ng pagsusulat. Leigh San Diego (Translated by: Aaron Bartilad)
