Maling inisyu ng isang YouTube video na nagbitiw na raw si Pope Francis sa kanyang posisyon bilang Santo Papa at sinabing si Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle ang papalit sa kanya.
Gumamit ang video ng isang pekeng news interview na binigyang-diin ang mga tanong tungkol sa posisyon ni Cardinal Tagle sa Vatican.
Ang orihinal na panayam na ginamit sa video ay ipinalabas noong Dec. 10 2019, kung saan itinalaga ni Pope Franicis si Cardinal Tagle bilang head ng Sacred Congregation para sa Evangelization of the Peoples.
Ayun sa official website ng Vatican na para kay Pope, nagbigay ng talumpati si Pope noong Jan. 17 sa komunidad ng Seminary of Córdoba, Spain, at kailan lang ay naging bahagi siya ng iba’t ibang mga pangyayari simula pa lang ng taon.
Ang College of Cardinals ang naghahalal ng bagong Papa sa pamamagitan ng conclave, kung saan bumoboto sila sa secret ballots, patunay na mali ang claim.
Ang mga patakaran ng papal conclave ay tinukoy sa papal bull na Universi Dominici Gregis na inilathala ni Pope John Paul II noong 1996 at binago ni Pope Benedict XVI noong 2013.
