Nag-post ang isang Facebook user ng video ng speed boat na may sakay na mga tao dala ang watawat ng Tsina, maling ipinalalabas na tuluyan nang umalis sa West Philippine Sea ang mga militar ng Tsina.
Ang Facebook reel na ito ay mayroon ding caption na “natakot din [si]la” na nagbibigay impresyon na totoo ang naturang video.
Hindi mahanap ang orihinal na user na nag-upload ng video na ginamit sa reel.
Gayunpaman, ang mga ulat mula sa Philippine Navy at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang nagpapatunay na patuloy ang aktibidad ng mga Chinese sa West Philippine Sea.
Noong Aug. 20, sinabi ni Alexander Lopez, tagapagsalita ng National Maritime Council, na pinalibutan at nasira ng mga barko ng Chinese coast guard ang dalawang barko ng PCG sa Escoda Shoal.
Habang noong Aug. 31 naman ay muling pinalibutan ng mga barko ng Chinese coast guard at kanilang pwersang pandagat ang BRP Teresa Magbanua malapit din sa Escoda Shoal.
Sinabi ni Commodore Jay Tarriela, tagapagsalita ng PCG sa West Philippine Sea, na noong napansin ng pwersa ng mga Chinese ang galaw ng mga barko ng PCG, agad daw na dumating ang mga dagdag na barko ng Chinese coast guard para pumalibot sa ating barko.
Ayon sa latest report ng Philippine Navy, 207 na hukbong pandagat ng Tsina ang kanilang namataan sa West Philippine Sea mula noong Sept. 3 hanggang 9, ito na ang pinakamataas na kanilang naitala ngayong taon.
