FACT-CHECK: Mga Facebook pages maling tinag ang Bayan Muna party-list bilang ‘disqualified’ ilang araw bago ang halalan 2025

Noong Sabado, maraming Facebook pages at profiles ang nag-share ng mga posts na nagsasabing idiniskwalipika ang Bayan Muna party-list ng Commission on Elections bago ang halalan sa Mayo 12.

Gayunpaman, natuklasan na ang mga screengrab na ibinahagi ng mga nag-publish ay pinalitan at hindi nagpapakita ng anumang tunay na ulat tungkol sa diumano diskwalipikasyon.

Maling ipinahayag ng page na ang progresibong grupo, na nakikipagpaligsahan para sa isang upuan sa Kongreso bilang party-list representative, ay may kaugnayan sa New People’s Army at Communist Party of the Philippines; na tinatawag din itong ‘banta sa pambansang seguridad.’

Naglabas ang Comelec ng opisyal na pahayag sa kanilang official Facebook page noong Sabado ng gabi, tinatanggihan ang mga paratang na idiniskwalipika ang Bayan Muna.

Ayon dito, ang mga nagpakalat ng maling impormasyon laban sa party-list ay “ginaya lamang ang orihinal na format” ng kanilang mga resolusyon.
