Nagpapakalat ang iba’t ibang social media accounts ng isang pekeng larawan ni dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na nakasuot ng judicial robe sa Korte Suprema.
Ang larawang ito ay kumalat kasabay ng mga ulat na irerepresenta raw ng dating pangulo ang kanyang anak na si Bise Presidente Sara Duterte sa kanyang impeachment trial.
Ang orihinal na larawan na ginamit sa mga post ay kuha noong Jan. 18, 2024, nang pangunahan ni Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo ang oath-taking ceremony para sa mga opisyal at direktor ng Philippine Judges Association.
Ang mukha ni Duterte na ipinalit sa ulo ni Chief Justice ay isang frame mula sa kanyang 2019 State of the Nation Address.
Ang violet na judicial robe ay sumasagisag ng institusyonal na pagkakaisa sa pulitika ng hudikatura sa Pilipinas at itinatangi lamang para sa mga mahistrado ng Korte Suprema.
Wala pang mga ulat na nagsasabing si Duterte ay nagpakita sa Korte Suprema, ni anumang opisyal na pahayag tungkol sa kanyang partisipasyon sa mga usaping hudikatura. Wala ring larawan ni Duterte kung saan siya ay nakasuot ng judicial robes.
Sa ngayon, ang larawang ipinost ng iba’t ibang account ay nakakuha ng 918,400 na shares at 32,515 na reaksyon sa Facebook, habang 603,208 na views at 38,700 na reaksyon naman sa TikTok, at 63,000 na views sa X. Leigh San Diego
