Maling ipinalabas ng mga social media post sa Facebook at Twtitter na nangunguna daw ang Davao City sa “economic dynamism at infrastructure.”

Ang naturang mga post ay may picture ng punong-alkalde ng Davao City na siSebastian Duterte kasama ang nakalilinlang at kulang sa kontekstong pahayag. 

Ang ranking ay nanggaling sa Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index na nilalabas taon-taon ng Department of Trade and Industry.

Ang 2024 rankings ay may hiwalay na listahan ng highly urbanized cities sa Pilipinas.

Nangunguna ang Davao City sa economic dynamism at infrastructure sa Visayas at Mindanao.

Nangunguna naman ang Quezon City at Manila sa ranking ng highly urbanized cities sa buong bansa.
