Isang post ang kumalat sa Facebook na maling nagsabi na ang artistic swimming team ng Israel ay bumuo ng mga salitang “Bring Them Home” bilang isang stunt sa kanilang pagsasanay para sa 2024 Paris Olympics.
Ipinost ito ng account na may pangalang “Thina Will” sa isang Facebook group na “BE READY FOR THE RAPTURE,” kung saan siya rin ay isa sa mga administrator. Kumalap ng libu-libong reaksyon at pagbabahagi ang nasabing post.
Ngunit, ang pinakalat na larawan ay parte ng naging protesta upang ipanawagan ang agarang pagpapalaya sa mga dinukot na Israeli.
Ito ay unang nai-post noon pang Nobyembre 19, 2023 sa Ynet, isang sikat na content-sharing platform sa Israel kalakip ng artikulong “Waiting and Hoping”: The Art Swimming Team for the Abductees.”
Ang larawan ay kinunan ng kanilang mga swimming coach na sina Sveta Blecher at Larisa Kunin sa Wingate Institute sa Netanya, Israel.
Bukod pa rito, ang caption sa Facebook post ay ginaya lamang mula sa isang TikTok video na nagpapakita ng mga manlalangoy ng Artistic Swimming Team ng Israel na nagsasagawa ng isang kaparehong stunt suot naman ang kanilang dilaw na swimsuit.
