Isang gumagamit ng Facebook ang maling nagpakalat ng impormasyon na iniiwasan ni Bise Presidente Sara Duterte ang National Bureau of Investigation at nagtago ito.
Ang beripikadong user na si “Jarret Pulido” ay nag-post ng isang YouTube link na may thumbnail na may nakasulat: “SARA ASTIG NAGING NGINIG! TINAGUAN ANG NBI!”
Mayroon din itong caption at pamagat na nagsasabing: “NAGTAGO na si Sara Duterte sa NBI! Nawala ang ASTIG! TUMAKBO na!”
Gayunpaman, hindi nagtago si Duterte kundi pinili niyang magsagawa ng isang press conference noong Disyembre 11, sa parehong panahon kung kailan ipinakalat ang pahayag.
Sinabi niya na ayon sa kanyang mga abogado, “mayroon siyang opsyon na hindi humarap sa NBI.”
Ang abogado ng bise presidente na si Paul Lim ay nagsumite ng isang liham sa NBI at inanunsyo sa media na hindi makakapunta si Duterte sa punong tanggapan ng ahensya sa Lungsod ng Pasig.
Naglabas ng subpoena ang NBI kay Duterte noong Disyembre 2 bilang bahagi ng imbestigasyon nito sa banta ng bise presidente laban kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Hurt Allauigan
