Isang Facebook user ang maling nagpakalat na tumatakbo daw bilang senador si Deo “Diwata Pares” Balbuena sa darating na midterm elections sa 2025.
Nag-post ang Facebook user ng isang video kung saan makikita si Diwata na sumasagot sa tanong ng media at may caption na “Diwata, my senator.”
Ilan pang user din ang nag-repost ng katulad na video o nagbahagi ng iba pang litrato at clip ni Diwata, lahat may parehong caption na nagsasabing tumatakbo siya bilang senador.
Noong Oktubre 2, naghain si Diwata ng kanyang certificate of candidacy bilang ika-apat na nominee ng Vendors Party-list. Kasama niya sa paghahain ang mga kapwa nominee na sina Tita Malu Lipana at Lorenz Pisigan sa Manila Hotel.
Nag-upload din si Diwata ng vlog tungkol sa paghahain ng kanyang kandidatura sa kanyang opisyal na YouTube channel.
Makikita rin sa opisyal na Facebook page ni Diwata na tumatakbo siya para sa Vendors Party-list, kung saan madalas siyang mag-post ng mga larawan na suot ang shirt ng partido.
Sa kasalukuyan, umabot na sa 2.9 milyon ang views ng nasabing video, mayroong 43,000 na komento, 36,800 na reaksyon, at 3,300 na shares sa Facebook. Leigh San Diego (Translated by: Mery-anne Alejandre)
