Isang TikTok video mula sa satirical page na “Balat Sibuyas” ang kumalat nitong Mayo 5, kung saan sinasabing pinayagan daw ni International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Karim Khan na pauwiin si dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para “disiplinahin ang kanyang mga pasaway na anak.”
Kasalukuyang umaabot na sa 23,700 ang reactions at 1,300 shares ang video reel. May ilang Facebook accounts na rin ang nag-repost ng parehong video, pero tinanggal na ‘yung watermark at ‘yung tag na nagsasabing satire ito—kaya may posibilidad na malito o malinlang ang ibang netizens.
Ang “Balat Sibuyas” ay isang multi-platform satire page na gumagawa ng mga patawang balita tungkol sa mga isyung politikal sa bansa. Ang kanilang tagline: “Balitang hindi totoo, pero dapat sineseryoso.”
Base sa mga court records ng ICC na maaaring ma-access sa kanilang opisyal na website, walang anumang mosyon mula sa kampo ni Duterte na humihiling ng kanyang pagpapalaya. Ibig sabihin, wala ring basehan ang prosecution para pauwiin siya.
Dagdag pa rito, noong Mayo 19, ay nagsumite ng administrative leave si Khan dahil sa mga alegasyon ng sexual misconduct. Dahil dito, ipinasakamay niya ang kaso ni Duterte sa isa sa kanyang mga deputies—si Mame Mandiaye Niang.
