Isang viral na Facebook post ang maling nag-anunsyo na nakamit daw ni Elreen Ando, pambato ng Pilipinas sa women’s weightlifting 59 kg category, ang kauna-unahang ginto ng bansa sa 2024 Paris Olympics.
Ang pekeng anunsyo ay kumalap na ng higit sa 40,000 na reactions, 8,000 na mga komento, at nasa 2,000 na shares.
Subalit, hindi pa sumasalang si Ando sa patimpalak mula nang ginawa ang post dahil ang kanyang event ay naka-iskedyul sa Aug. 8.
Ang mga weightlifting event ay nakatakda sa huling limang araw ng Olympics.Taliwas sa naging claim, ang gymnast na si Carlos Yulo ang nag-uwi ng unang dalawang ginto para sa Pilipinas matapos niyang magwagi sa men’s individual floor exercises at vault apparatus. Hurt Allauigan
