FACT CHECK: Hindi nakaposas si Duterte nang siya ay maaresto

Isang Facebook reel mula kay Shann Go ang nagbahagi ng parte ng homiliya ni Fr. Ciano Ubod, ang nagpapakalat ng maling impormasyon na ipinosas umano ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Nicolas Torre III si dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte nang siya ay maaresto noong March 11.

Sa naturang video, pinuri ni Fr. Ubod si Duterte sa pagiging kalmado nito sa kabila ng pagkakaaresto. May caption ang reel na nagsasabing, “THANK YOU FATHER CIANO UBOD SA PAG AMPO KAY PRRD” (Maraming salamat Father Ciano Ubod sa panalangin para kay PRRD).

Makikita rin sa thumbnail ng video ang mensaheng: “GOD BE WITH YOU ALWAYS TATAY DIGONG KEEP SAFE ALWAYS!”

Gayunpaman, hindi totoo ang pahayag ni Fr. Ubod na pinosasan umano ni Torre si Duterte. Sa katunayan, sinabi mismo ng hepe ng PNP sa isang talakayan ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) na wala ni isang pulis ang humawak kay Duterte mula umpisa hanggang matapos ang operasyon.

Ang tanging mga taong humawak sa kanya, bukod sa kanyang pamilya at mga kasamahan, ay ang kanyang mga bodyguard at nurse, ayon kay Torre.

Sa isang video na ibinahagi ni Raoul Esperas, makikitang walang posas si Duterte habang sumasakay sa isang sasakyang pang pulis para sa kanyang paglipat patungong Villamor Airbase.

Bukod dito, kumalat din sa iba’t ibang social media platform ang mga larawan ni Duterte na kuha sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Villamor Airbase, at sa loob ng isang pribadong eroplano, na nagpapakitang hindi siya pinosasan sa anumang bahagi ng proseso ng pag-aresto.
