Isang huwad na pahayag mula sa Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) ang kumalat sa Facebook dalawang araw bago ang eleksyon para sa Senado.
Gumamit ito ng parehong format na karaniwang ginagamit ng CBCP sa kanilang mga opisyal na pahayag upang magmukhang lehitimo ang dokumento. Ginamit din dito ang pirma ni Cardinal Pablo Virgilio “Ambo” David, ang kasalukuyang pangulo ng CBCP.
Nakasaad din sa dokumento ang pangalan ng 12 kandidato sa Senado na umano’y ineendorso ng mga obispo.
Gayunpaman, walang ganitong pag-eendorso mula sa CBCP at kay Cardinal David ayon sa CBCPNews, ang opisyal na news service ng CBCP.
Naglabas din ang Diyosesis ng Kalookan ni Cardinal David ng isang opisyal na pahayag sa kanilang Facebook page noong Sabado ng hapon upang pabulaanan ang maling impormasyon.
Gayundin, walang inilabas na opisyal na pahayag o pag-eendorso ng sinumang kandidato sa Senado sa opisyal na website ng CBCP. Hurt Allauigan

A satirical Facebook page posted that Sen. Robinhood Padilla had filed a bill on June 1, allowing dead persons to vote through the help of their family representatives to ensure the election of Vice President Sara Duterte in the 2028 presidential election.
