Isang YouTube video ang maling nagpahayag na binigyan na ng International Criminal Court (ICC) ng interim release ang dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Red flag: Ang thumbnail ng video ay nagpapakita ng larawan ni Duterte, mga abogadong Harry Roque at Nicholas Kaufman, at ang mga tagahatol ng ICC na sina Reine Alapini-Gansou at Marc Perrin de Brichambaut.
- Ang caption ay nagsasabi ng, “Interim release ni DUTERTE ay makakamit na sa wakas.”
- Ang overlay texts ay nagsasabing, “SA WAKAS!! INTERIM RELEASE IBIBIGAY NA KAI DUTERTE.”
Mga resibo: Noong Aug. 19, 2025, ang counsel ni Duterte ay nag renew ng kanilang kahilingan para sa interim release ni Duterte sa hindi pinangalanang bansa. Ngunit hindi pa nagpapasya ang ICC tungkol dito.
- Sa ngayon, wala pang opisyal na dokumento sa ICC website ukol sa kahilingan ng counsel ni Duterte.
- Ang video na in-upload ay kinuha lamang sa livestream ni Roque, kung saan sinabi niya rito ang posibilidad ng interim release at hindi ang pagpapatunay ukol dito.
Rewind: Noong June 12, 2025, nag request para sa interim release ang legal team ni Duterte, na agad din namang tinutulan ng Official Public Counsel for Victimes at ng Office of the Prosecutor.
- Hindi inaprubahan ng ICC ang naunang request ni Duterte para sa interim release; at sa halip ay ipinagpaliban the decision.
Bakit ito may fact-check: Sa ngayon, ang Youtube video ay mayroon ng 5,715 views at 411 likes.
