FACT-CHECK: Harry Roque did not faint while being interviewed in Germany

CLAIM: Harry Roque fainted in Germany.

A YouTube video falsely claimed that Harry Roque had fainted in Germany in the middle of an interview. 

The video titled, “HETO NA PBBM DAHILAN NG PAGBULAGTA NI ROQUE SA GERMANY PANORRIN,” features a Facebook reel posted by a Facebook user, “Juan Luna Blog,” where Roque is shown collapsing on a table mid-interview. 

(“This is it, PBBM is the reason why Roque fainted in Germany.”)

However, the video was shown to be 95% AI-generated by a recent article published under PressOne.PH and rated as satirical content. Roque also later confirmed on his Facebook page that the video was AI-generated. 

The former Palace spokesman is confirmed to be seeking asylum in the Netherlands. In a video posted on his Facebook page, Roque said that his asylum bid was not yet denied, confirming that he was in the Netherlands and not in Germany, contrary to what the YouTuber claimed in the video. 

Additionally, there is no statement on Roque’s official pages that President Marcos was the reason for his collapse. 

The video still continues to gain traction with more than 245,000 views and 9,300 likes on YouTube. Yance Dionisio
