CLAIM: Trump made a video message to Duterte supporters before his election victory.
RATING: FALSE
A previously fact-checked deepfake video of US President-elect Donald Trump has been recycled to target “Diehard Duterte Supporters” or the DDS anew.
This time, TikTok user @jennydpaparang claimed that this was Trump’s “true message to DDS.”
The video insults the DDS as “a group of people that are so gullible and effortless to manipulate.”
The original video, however, shows Trump addressing the Capitol Hill riots in January 2021.
TrueMedia.org’s analysis confirmed with 99% confidence that the video was indeed deepfaked and detected strong indications that Trump’s voice was manipulated with artificial intelligence.
As of writing, the TikTok video has garnered more than 3,200 likes, 529 comments, and 329 shares. Hurt Allauigan
