CLAIM: Critics of former president Rodrigo Duterte are all dead.
RATING: FALSE
A video has surfaced on Facebook falsely implying that the critics of former president Rodrigo Duterte were dead.
The video bore the caption “Nag-promo na ang [St. Peter]! [CTTO: St. Peter] (St. Peter has a promo! credit to the owner: St. Peter),” even falsely attributing the known memorial services company as the source of the video.
Facebook user “Royce Kenneth Arieta” also named lawmakers involved in the series of hearings investigating Duterte’s “war on drugs.”
These included Manila Rep. Bienvenido “Benny” Abante, Abang Lingkod Rep. Stephen Paduano, Gabriela Rep. Arlene Brosas, Act-Teachers Rep. France Castro, Kabataan Rep. Raoul Manuel, and Santa Rosa, Laguna Rep. Danilo Fernandez.
It even mentioned critics such as former senators Antonio Trillanes IV, and Leila de Lima.
As of writing, there are no reports of the deaths of any of the names mentioned.
The official Facebook page of St. Peter Life Plan and Chapels has no posts related to the personalities or any mention of a certain “promo.”
The video has accumulated 9,000 reactions and 6,000 shares. Hurt Allauigan
