Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla erroneously claimed that the campaign rally of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte drew 140,000 people.
“We have a 100,000 here and another 40,000 outside,” he was quoted as saying by Inquirer.net. This is false.

The Cavite PNP officially placed the crowd estimate of the UniTeam rally at about 80,000, according to Philstar.com reporter Kristine Patag.

However, using the crowd estimate website, Mapchecking.com, the entire oval of the General Trias Sports Complex, if densely packed with five people per square meter, would accommodate an estimated 75,612 people, a far cry from the 100,000 estimate of Remulla.
The Cavite PNP did not say if it included the crowd outside of the venue for their official estimate.
The sports complex was previously used by presidential hopeful Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate Sen. Kiko Pangilinan for their campaign rally, which event organizers said drew a crowd of 47,000.
The governor should consult his own brother, Rep. Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla, who claims to know the sports complex well.
The congressman said in a previous ANC interview that the sports complex cannot hold 47,000 people. He belittled the Robredo rally, claiming the event drew only 17,000 people.
“Alam mo ‘yong exaggeration lang ng dami ng pumunta sa rally, hindi ako maniniwala sa dami na ‘yon. Kabisado ko ‘yong lugar, hindi kakasya ang 47,000 people do’n. Exaggeration na ‘yon, sobra na,” he said.
