Isang YouTube video ang nagpakalat ng maling impormasyon na tapos na ang kaso ng impeachment laban sa Pangalawang Pangulo, Sara Duterte.
Iba’t ibang clip mula sa Facebook Live ng dating komisyoner ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na si Rowena Guanzon ang itinampok sa video bilang “ebidensya.”
Ang mga ito ay pinagdugtong-dugtong kasama ng mga news clip tungkol sa impeachment. Ang pamagat ng video ay, “KAKAPASOK LANG! FINISH NA ang impeachment laban kay VP Sara Duterte!”
Subalit, salungat sa pahayag, ang kaso ng impeachment laban kay Duterte ay patuloy pa ring isinasagawa.
Nilinaw ni Senate President Francis Escudero na ang desisyon ng impeachment court na ibalik ang articles of impeachment sa House of Representatives ay hindi nangangahulugang ibinasura na ang kaso o tinapos na ang impeachment trial.
Dagdag pa rito, sinabi ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros sa isang panayam sa DZBB Super Radyo na ang impeachment trial ay magpapatuloy mula sa kasalukuyang Ika-19 na Kongreso patungo sa Ika-20 na Kongreso.
Noong Hunyo 11, sinabi ni Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro, miyembro ng House panel of prosecutors, sa isang press conference na ang ipinadalang summons ng impeachment court ay nagpapakita ng hurisdiksyon ng korte sa kaso at na nagsimula na ang impeachment trial.
