“American Horror Story” star Evan Peters is set to play the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the upcoming Netflix limited series “Monster.”

“Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” was written by Ryan Murphy along with Ian Brennan (Glee, Scream Queens).

The series will also feature Niecy Nash (Scream Queens), Shaun Brown (The Great Indoors), Colin Ford (We Bought A Zoo), Richard Jenkins (The Cabin in the Woods), and Penelope Ann Miller (Riverdale).

Dahmer was an American serial killer and sex offender who took the lives of at least 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Niecy Nash will portray Glenda Cleveland, the series’ female lead and Dahmer’s neighbor, who alerted the police of his strange behavior, while Miller and Jenkins will play the role of Joyce and Lionel Dahmer.

Monster is a ten-episode series that will dramatize 10 instances wherein Dahmer was almost arrested by the police but not prosecuted because of his white privilege.

The series is expected to focus more on the psychological approach compared with other adaptations of Jeffrey Dahmer’s story.

Carl Franklin, an American producer, is directing the pilot episode and Janet Mock will direct and write several episodes. Arvee Christine R. Biscocho
