Eastern Samar was stunned by a magnitude 4.1 earthquake on Tuesday afternoon, according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The tremor struck at a depth of 83 kilometers at 5:52 p.m, 13 kilometers northwest of Taft town.

Its origin was tectonic.

No damage was reported and no aftershocks were expected, according to Phivolcs.
