PDP-Laban has 6,592 candidates seeking national and local posts in the 2022 elections.

“The president told us that he will be giving his full support to all our candidates in this year’s elections. Once elected, we will continue all the programs and advocacies of President Duterte from the national to the local level,” Cusi said.

Duterte has yet to side with a 2022 presidential candidate. He had been pushing for the presidency of his special aide Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, but the latter had withdrawn his candidacy.

Duterte’s party, PDP-Laban, which due to infighting did not field presidential and vice presidential candidates, has adopted Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as its vice presidential candidate.

Pacquiao is running for president in the 2022 elections under the Promdi party. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
