President Rodrigo Duterte’s plan to reveal the “wrongs” of the presidential candidates in the 2022 elections will be beneficial as long as his statements are factual, Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo said on Wednesday.

“Parati naman nating welcome ‘yung information na totoo. Kasi nakatulong siya sa tao sa pag-assess ng capacity at integrity ng mga kandidato,” she said during her visit in Basilan.

Duterte on Monday said he would educate Filipinos on the wrongs and weaknesses of those looking to succeed him.

He also said he would name the “most corrupt” candidate.

Robredo said her track record didn’t need defending.

“I do not need to defend myself because my track record will speak for itself. I don’t need to pick up a fight, go on with a press release to prove that what I am saying is true,” she said.

“I have been consistent in my efforts to serve, whether there is an election or otherwise. I am not bothered about opinions about me because my track record shows what I am capable of doing,” she added. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
