President Rodrigo Duterte’s satisfaction rating saw an eight-point increase in December 2021, with 75 percent of Filipinos “satisfied” with his performance.

Duterte had a net satisfaction rating of +60 in the Social Weather Stations’ fourth quarter 2021 social weather survey.

The survey, conducted from Dec. 12-16, 2021, found 75 percent of adult Filipinos satisfied, 9 percent undecided and 15 percent dissatisfied with the performance of Duterte as president.

“This is eight points above the very good +52 in September 2021 and similar to the very good +62 in June 2021. The resulting +64 average for all of 2021 is four points below the +68 average for 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic struck,” the SWS said.

Acting Palace spokesman Karlo Nograles said the government was thankful for the public’s trust and support amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Ang tanging isusukli na lang po ni Pangulong Duterte diyan ay ang patuloy niyang pagtatrabaho hanggang sa katapusan na kaniyang termino at gagawin niya po always,” Nograles said in an interview over PTV.

Duterte recently said he had started packing his bags and would be out of Malacañang by March, even though he still has more than four months left in his term.
