The Department of Foreign Affairs on Thursday confirmed that 11 Filipino seafarers who were missing since the massive Beirut blasts were found safe.

“Our embassy in Beirut has ascertained the conditions of all the 13 Filipino seafarers who were injured in the blasts that rocked the city recently,” Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs Sarah Arriola said in a statement.

Eleven of the 13 seafarers were tagged missing on Wednesday. The other two were found injured, but the latest report stated that they were in stable condition.

The Filipino seafarers are cruise members of the “significantly damaged” Orient Queen cruise ship docked in the Port of Beirut, 400 meters away from the explosions.

As of Thursday midnight, 24 overseas Filipino workers were reported injured. There were two fatalities and one missing.

All except one were in stable condition or suffered minor wounds. One was in critical condition, Undersecretary Brigido Dulay said in a tweet.

At least 135 were confirmed dead while some 5,000 were injured due to the explosions intensified by ammonium nitrate stored in a port warehouse. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
