Davao Region logged 451 new Covid-19 cases Thursday bringing its total number of active cases to 7,676, according to the regional office of the Department of Health (DOH).
Of these new cases, 294 are from Davao City, 60 from Davao del Norte, 35 from Davao del Sur, 29 from Davao Oriental, 20 from Davao de Oro, and 13 from Davao Occidental.  Of the new cases, one is a Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF) and 450 local cases.

The DOH reported 173 recoveries. Among these, 71 are from Davao del Norte, 53 from Davao City, 16 from Davao Occidental, 12 from Davao del Sur, 11 from Davao Oriental, and 10 from Davao de Oro.  Total recoveries is now at 26,603.
Death toll now stands at 1,266 after 17 deaths were reported today. Among these, eight are from Davao City, three from Davao del Norte, two from Davao Oriental, two from Davao Occidental, one from Davao del Sur, and one from Davao de Oro.
The region recorded its highest number of new Covid-19 cases in a single day yesterday with 725 new cases.  The bulk of new cases came from Davao City with 397, which is also the city’s highest since the pandemic started.

Davao del Norte reported 120 cases while Davao Oriental 125 cases.

Davao City is under a modified enhanced community quarantine until June 30 while Davao del Norte’s status was elevated to general community quarantine until the end of the month. The rest of the region is under a modified general community quarantine. – Rommel F. Lopez
