The Department of Health – Davao Region (DOH Davao) reported Monday 730 new cases of Covid-19 bringing its total number of active cases to 14,903.
This brings the region’s total caseload to 74,359.
Of these new cases, 373 are from Davao City, President Rodrigo Duterte’s hometown, 194 from Davao del Sur, 99 from Davao del Norte, 48 from Davao Oriental, 9 from Davao Occidental and 7 from Davao de Oro.
The DOH Davao also reported 452 recoveries bringing the total recoveries to 57,156. Among these, 189 are from Davao City, 122 from Davao del Norte, 78 from Davao Oriental, 47 from Davao del Sur, 9 from Davao Occidental and 7 from Davao de Oro.
Total deaths rose to 2,300 after 23 deaths were reported today. Among these, 12 are from Davao del Sur, 6 from Davao City, 4 from Davao del Norte and 1 from Davao Oriental.
Davao City accounts for the most number of Covid-19 deaths with 1,252, followed by Davao del Norte with 438, Davao de Oro with 213, Davao del Sur with 201, Davao Oriental with 167 and Davao with Occidental 29.
The new confirmed cases are part of the 22,415 new cases, a new record day high of new cases reported for a single day for the entire country. – Rommel F. Lopez
