The Department of Health Davao Center for Health Development (DOH-Davao) reported Tuesday, October 6, 47 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the region bringing its total active cases to 622.
Davao City posted the highest number of new cases at 42, three are from Davao Occidental, and two are from Davao del Norte.
Of these new cases, four are Locally Stranded Individual (LSI), one is for further verification, while 42 are local cases.
A total of 1,396 persons were tested today, of which 67 tested positive for COVID-19.
Two Covid-19-related deaths were also reported at Davao City today.
The region also posted 54 recoveries from the dreaded respiratory disease with 28 coming from Davao City, eight from Davao del Sur, seven from Davao del Norte, six from Davao de Oro and five from Davao Oriental. Rommel F. Lopez
