The Department of Health (DOH) Davao Center for Health Development reported 61 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) bringing the total number of active cases in the region to 481.
Davao City reported 36 new cases, Davao del Sur had nine, Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro reported eight new cases each.
Of these new cases, five are Locally Stranded Individual (LSI), 28 are for further verification, while 28 are local cases.
The DOH said 1,072 persons were tested today, of which 81 tested positive for Covid-19, 20 of which came from other regions.
Davao City reported one death due to the deadly respiratory disease.
The DOH reported 37 new recoveries. Of these 20 are from Davao City, 11 are from Davao Oriental, three are from Davao del Sur, two are from Davao del Norte, and one from Davao de Oro. Rommel F. Lopez
