Davao City continues to register high numbers of confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases with 118 new cases reported Saturday.
The Department of Health’s Davao Center for Health Development said the city’s new cases adds up to Davao region’s 156 new reported cases bringing the region’s total caseload to 1,074.
Aside from the 118 new cases from Davao City, 30 are from Davao del Norte, where 14 cases came from Tagum City, the province’s capital, six are from Davao del Sur, and one each from Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental.
Three deaths are reported today. Among these, two are from Davao City, and one from Davao del Sur.
There are 91 recoveries reported today. Among these, 86 are from Davao City, three are from Davao del Sur, and one each from Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental.
Of these new cases, three are Locally Stranded Individuals (LSI), one is a Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF), seven are for further verification, while 145 are local cases.
Last October 22, Davao City, the Covid-19 hotspot in the region, recorded 76 new cases, with a total 716 active cases.
