As of 8AM of May 25, 2020, Davao City has nine (9) new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) bringing the cities total to 99 according to the Southern Philippines Medical Center.

Seven (7) patients recovered from COVID-19 bringing the cities total recoveries to 111.

There were no new reported COVID-19 related deaths.  The city’s COVID-19 death toll stands at 25.

Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio warned residents that if it is proven that they got infected with COVID-19 by violating quarantine protocols, then the city will not shoulder their medical expenses.  And if in case of death, the city will not also shoulder the cremation of the remains of the victim.

“For those who are loitering outside… prepare your last will and two million pesos for your hospital bills,” a visibly exasperated Duterte-Carpio said last week. (Rommel F. Lopez)
