A Filipino dance group from Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat bagged the dance championship in the recently concluded World Championship of Performing Arts ( WCOPA) held at Long Beach, California, USA

Coalixon (pronounced as coalition) Dance Crew’s trio of Jegad Dail, Chris Jann Lloyd Jaugan and Welhart Hacosta bested other competitors to bring the coveted title.  Coalixon also bagged gold medals for Dance Open Style, Dance Hiphop and a Silver medal for Dance Contemporary.

Other Filipino bets won medals in different categories. However, Coalixon was the only group from the Philippines to bag a championship in this year’s edition of the Olympics for performers and entertainers.  More than 100 entertainers represented the Philippines in this year’s competition.
