Residents of Dasmariñas City, Cavite, were told to follow protocols of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) as the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases reached alarming levels.

In his April 4 Facebook post, Cavite Fourth District Representative Elpidio “Pidi” Barzaga said the “Increase in COVID-19 cases is very alarming.”

However, his Facebook post revealed an increase in the number of confirmed cases to 14 confirmed cases and 4 deaths while the number of PUIs and PUMs went up to 79 and 966, respectively.

Just like some patients in other parts of the country, at least five PUIs in the city succumbed to the deadly virus without knowing the results of their COVID-19 tests.
