The Commission on Elections (Comelec) aims to finalize the list of candidates for the 2022 elections by January 15.
Meanwhile, printing of the official ballots may commence on January 17.
Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez made this announcement during a virtual press conference.
“Ang estimate natin, matatapos ang final ballot faces by January 15 which means ‘yun na ang final list of candidates and we hope that we will be able to start printing by January 17,” he said.
The Comelec is also finalizing a walk through with the officials from the National Printing Office.
Currently, the commission has an initial list of 10 presidential candidates, nine vice presidential candidates, and 64 senatorial bets. Ronald Espartinez
