The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said it would provide an additional P2,000 to poll workers and teachers who worked overtime during the elections.

Comelec Commissioner George Garcia said all poll workers, no matter the designation, would be given the additional honoraria as long as they worked overtime.

The amount was less than the amount the Department of Education (DepEd) earlier urged the Comelec to pay teachers who worked extra hours, which was P3,000.
