Quezon City remained the richest city in the Philippines in 2021, the Commission on Audit (COA) said in its report on local government units.
According to the COA report, Quezon City had P451 billion in assets in 2021.
Quezon City was also the richest city in 2020 with P452 billion in assets.
In second place was Makati, which had P238.5 billion in assets in 2021.
Makati was the richest city in the Philippines from 2017 to 2019.
Following Quezon City and Makati on the COA list were Manila with P65 billion, Pasig with P51 billion, Taguig with P36 billion, Cebu City with P33.3 billion, Mandaue with P33 billion, Mandaluyong with P31 billion and Davao with P26.56 billion.
Cebu Province meanwhile was the richest province with P215 billion.
It was followed by Davao de Oro with P23.211 billion, Bukidnon with P19.455 billion, Negros Occidental with P18.025 billion, Ilocos Sur with P17.907 billion, Iloilo with P17.399 billion, Isabela with P16.419 billion and Palawan with P16.109 billion. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
