Cebu City announced it tallied 321 new recoveries of Covid-19 on Friday, the highest number the city has recorded in a single day.

The recoveries in the city is now at 792, or 36.9 percent of the total 2,144.

The 321 single-day count almost equaled the city’s May 27 total of 394 recoveries.

Cebu also recorded 89 new cases and two new mortalities today.

Cebu is one of three cities where international aviation gateways would be expanded to once they shift to a general community quarantine.

The move, according to the Department of Transport, would decongest Metro Manila and spread the receiving of overseas Filipino workers to more areas in the country with adequate testing capabilities. (John Ezekiel J. Hirro)
