The provincial government of Cavite has released some protocols on Thursday for people who plan to visit cemeteries from October 1 to 27.
Governor Jonvic Remulla said in his Facebook post that all cemeteries in the province will be open during the said period, starting from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cemeteries would be closed from October 28 to November 2.
Remulla also warned local residents that eating and drinking alcoholic beverages, including videoke sessions, are not allowed even in private cemeteries.
“Bawal po ang kainan kahit sa mga pribado at sosyal na libingan. Mga alta, matutong makisama. Kung bawal ang kainan, lalong bawal ang inuman at lasingan,” Remulla said.
Selling of food and beverages inside cemeteries are also prohibited.
Remulla also explained that each city and municipality would decide how many people will be allowed to enter in the cemeteries.
He also noted that minors are prohibited from entering the cemeteries
Local residents who plan to visit the cemeteries must wear face masks and face shields as strict health protocols will be strictly enforced.
Remulla reminded Cavite residents to strictly observe social distancing to control the transmission of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infection.
“Dahil sa pandemya ay kailangan pa rin nating paulit-ulit na ipaalala ang social distancing rules. Lagpas 10,000 na ang positibo sa COVID dito sa Cavite at malakas ang kutob ko na baka lalong kumalat ang sakit na ito ngayong papalapit na Undas,” Remulla said. RJ Espartinez
