Candy Pangilinan, seminarian-vlogger lead winners of Catholic Social Media Awards

TV host Candy Pangilinan and popular vlogger “Rix the Seminarian” emerged as winners in the 2020 Catholic Social Media Awards (CSMA), organized by YouthPinoy, Areopagus Communications Inc. and the Media Office of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines.

The winners were announced in a three-day virtual award ceremony streamed live on Facebook.

CSMA 2020 received more than 980 submissions or about 75 nominees per category, organizers said.

This year’s board of judges was composed of Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas, Fr. Amado Picardal, Teleradyo host Ilsa Reyes, Fr. Benny Tuazon and Msgr. Pedro Quitorio III.

CSMA, established in 2015 by YouthPinoy and Areopagus Communications, aims to recognize individuals and organizations who live the Catholic faith through their online presence.

Best Diocesan Website – Archdiocese of Jaro
Best Parish Website – Basilica Minore Del Sto. Nino de Cebu
Best Catholic Organization Website – The Varsitarian
Best Catholic Vlog – MFC Youth Withmesses Corner
Best Parish Facebook Page – Quiapo Church
Best Organization Facebook Page – Millennial Catholics
Best Public Facebook Group – Sakristan Spotted Philippines
Best Catholic Vlog – Rix the Seminarian
Best Catholic Blog – MFC Youth Witnesses Comer
Best Twitter – MFC Youth
Best Instagram – AlmuSalita
Catholic Song of the Year – Kapit by Liveloud Worship
Male Social Media Influencer – Rev. Fr. Joseph Fidel Roura
Female Social Media Influencer – Candy Pangilinan
