Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go officially tendered his certificate of withdrawal as candidate for the president in the upcoming 2022 national elections.

Go personally submitted his papers to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Tuesday afternoon.

The senator earlier confirmed his intention to end his presidential race, noting that his heart and mind contradicted his actions.

One of the reasons for his withdrawal to run as president, the senator revealed, was his family’s disapproval.

Go asked his supporters to accept his decision and encouraged them to pick a president that would continue the efforts of the Duterte administration.

Ronald Espartinez
