Education Secretary Leonor Briones on Wednesday said “blended learning,” or the combination of face-to-face (F2F)instruction with online, modular and other distance learning methods, would remain even as schools have started to reopen.

In a “Laging Handa” briefing, Briones said technology should be utilized in education.

Briones said the blended learning components could be integrated with bring-home activities of students.

“Kaya hahabol din tayo sa technology…[para] hindi sila techie lamang…conscious sila na mayroon tayong history, mayroon tayong kultura, at ang technology, makatulong dito,” she said.

Briones reported on Wednesday that 4,295 schools had resumed face-to-face (F2F) classes as of March 1. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
