BLACKPINK lead vocalist Rosé set two Guinness Records with her hit solo debut, “On The Ground.”

On April 9, the Guinness Records revealed that the music video for “On The Ground” has been officially recognized as the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist.

The video, which garnered 41.6 million views in the first 24 hours after release, broke the eight-year record set by PSY, who got 36 million views with his “Gangnam Style” video.

The Korean-New Zealand singer also peaked at number one on both the Global Billboard 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts on March 27, making her the first artist to reach number one on a Billboard Global chart as a soloist and as part of a group with the song “Lovesick Girls.”

BLACKPINK has almost 60 million subscribers on YouTube, making the group the most subscribed female artist on the platform, and second to Justin Bieber as the most subscribed artist on YouTube.

BLACKPINK debuted under YG Entertainment in 2016 with its debut album “Square One,” which featured the tracks “Whistle” and “Boombayah.” The group is known for their chart-topping songs such as “Kill this Love” and “”Ddu-Du Ddu-Du.” Jade Veronique V. Yap
