The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is still one of the low risk regions compared to other regions in Mindanao.
BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim confirmed this during an interview over state-run PTV.
“So sa ngayon we still remain at low risk po among the regions in Mindanao. Kami po ang pinaka-low risk sa ngayon,” he said in an interview for PTV.
As of August 30, 2021, BARMM is still clear of the Covid Delta variant. It has 666 active cases with 235 from Maguindanao, 234 from Lanao del Sur, 5 from Basilan, 7 from Sulu, and 185 from Cotabato City.
Even with a 50-60% vaccination rate, BARMM still allotted P50 million worth of oxygen tanks should there be a surge, Ebrahim stated. – Lance Ezekiel Pastores
